It depends on three things, and none of them is a mystery. Size of the opening, which material you pick, and whether we are installing. Riveted aluminium is the entry point. Pressure-fitted aluminium sits a little above it for the cleaner finish. Stainless is the premium end. Send us the openings and you will get a real number rather than a range.

Yes. Casements need the winder to still work with the screen fitted, which is a measuring question rather than a product limitation. Tell us it is a casement when you send the sizes and we will allow for the handle and the throw.

These are fixed screens. They are fastened to the frame and they stay there, which is what makes them hold under AS5041 and AS5203 in the first place. If you need something that opens, you are after a security door, hinged or sliding.

Not by hand, and that is on purpose. A screen you can pop out from outside is a screen an intruder can pop out from outside. Clean it in place with warm water, a soft brush and a mild detergent, then rinse it off properly. Skip anything abrasive or heavy duty, it will mark the powder coat.

Within a few streets of the water at Palm Cove, Clifton Beach or Trinity Beach, the 316 marine-grade mesh is the safer spend: it is marine rated and the patented retention keeps the mesh from touching the aluminium frame, so there is no dissimilar metal contact for salt air to work on. Further inland at Edmonton or Gordonvale, perforated aluminium does the same security job for less.
